Andrew’s campaign is based on bringing the transparency we want, service we need, and justice we deserve back to the Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office.

Transparency We Want

The law enforcement community in Morrow County do a tremendous job of informing the public about their efforts to solve crimes and make arrests of those responsible. Then the cases disappear from the public eye and unless you are inside the courthouse there is nothing else said. Andrew when elected will establish a Facebook page and other necessary media opportunities to keep the public informed of indicted cases, and the results of cases that impact us as a community.

On top of providing the public with information, Andrew has been told by victims, their families, and law enforcement that there is a disconnect in communication with the current prosecutor’s office. Andrew when elected will make communication with victims not only a priority but an expectation and will respect the efforts of law enforcement by considering their input in the handling and disposition of cases. Andrew believes that the prosecution of cases is a team effort and plans to make sure that the team in Morrow County is as strong as can be.

Service We Need

Andrew has always operated with the mindset that the day is over when the job is done. Andrew has always been in his office well before the courthouse opens and plans to continue doing so when elected. Andrew would also make it so he is available whenever he is needed after hours as well. The majority of complaints that Andrew has heard regarding the current prosecutor is his absence from the office and the inability to get in contact with him by the community, township leaders, victims, and law enforcement.

As County Prosecutor, Andrew would serve the community as the tip of the spear and a partner of those in leadership and who need the service of the prosecutor. Andrew would actively participate in criminal cases, and making sure that the needs of the townships and county boards are met.

Morrow County needs more than a part time prosecutor, Morrow County needs someone who has shown a willingness to work long hours, to make himself available when needed, and to go the extra mile without complaint to make sure that the goals of the office are achieved.

Justice We Deserve

One of the most disheartening things Andrew has experienced is victims of crime in Morrow County coming to him over the last four years with the same report. They cannot get answers from the prosecutor, they are scared and unsure what is going on, and that the prosecutor dealt their cases away without their knowing it was happening or over their objection. Victims should not be re-victimized by the prosecutor of their cases.

When elected Andrew will make sure that all staff at the prosecutor’s office have the same commitment to the support of victims that Andrew does. Andrew’s commitment isn’t just professional, it is personal as the spouse of a victim who was failed by the prosecutor of her case. Andrew has, as part of helping to support Laura, sought out and taken trauma informed prosecution courses and webinars so that he can best support the victims who rely on him, sometimes as the last line of defense and as their voice against those who committed terrible acts against them.

Andrew has a history of success in the courtroom, both as a defense attorney, and prosecutor. He believes in justice for all and dedicates his actions at work to achieving it.
